Recently, the "Shandong Tourism Promotion Meeting" & "Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong" Tourism Photo Exhibition were held in Singapore. Xiao Jianghua, Director of the China National Tourist Office in Singapore, and Sun Lei, Deputy Director-General of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended and addressed the activities. Other participants included representatives of the Singapore Tourism Board and travel agencies and airlines in the country.

Speaking of his hometown, Director Xiao said that he has paid close attention to Shandong's development. Home to many famous mountains and rivers and rich tourism resources, Shandong is an excellent tourist destination for people who want to enjoy gorgeous scenery, relax, and go on holiday. He hoped that more Singapore people can visit Shandong and enjoy its long history and beautiful scenery.

Leaders and guests present enjoyed the "Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong" Tourism Photo Exhibition together. Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism selected pictures of the world heritage sites and famous scenic spots in the province to help visitors know more about Shandong, the "Hometown of Confucius" where people are very friendly, and about its history, culture, natural scenery, and folk customs.
